Residents of the UK’s remotest village finally have an excuse to be lazy and fat like the rest of us with the news that it’s been given its first takeaway service thanks to the good people at the Chicago Town pizza chain.
Inverie in Scotland, on the Knoydart Peninsula, is officially the UK’s most remote location and has never had a takeaway service.
So in a bid to get free publicity, Chicago Town decided to help out, flying in a chest full of frozen pizzas by way of helicopter and dumping them in a field. Call us Mr Picky but as delivery services go, we’ve had better.
“To see Chicago Town make such a fuss of us – and to get our first takeaway delivery by special helicopter makes the wait well worthwhile,” said resident Ian Robertson while tucking into his frozen-solid, grass-stained pizza.
