A widow from Lawrenceville, Georgia, has been awarded a $3million settlement following the death of her husband. Cause of husband’s death? Bonking two other people!
Unfaithful police officer William Martinez went to see a doctor, following heart problems, but was told it was nothing to worry about.
In reality, it was a very serious heart condition and he should have been sent to hospital straight away.
Instead he went off to a motel (classy!) and met up with a woman and another man for a bit of sexy time.
He died of a heart attack after having sex several times and was found on the floor of the motel’s bathroom by his female lover.
Attorneys ruled the doctor failed to recognise the seriousness of the symptoms and a Gwinnett County jury found the doctor negligent.
A lawyer representing the doctor claimed that Martinez was told to make an appointment the next day but delayed (hey, he clearly had more important stuff to do!).
It can’t have been easy for his poor wife, but we reckon $3million dollars should ease the pain a little bit.
