babyhermanWE shouldn’t laugh. Really. But there are reports from Indonesia of a two-year-old with a 40-cigarrette a day smoking habit. That’s not funny, obviously, but the photos of the fat little toddler riding around on a toy truck with a fag are hilarious.
Ardi Rizal got his first taste of tobacco when his fishmonger father gave him a cigarette six months ago. Exactly why he did it remains a mystery, but now the moody little git throws tantrums if he doesn’t get his fix.
He only smokes one brand and his habit costs £3.78 a day in a state where the minimum wage is £69 a month.
He’s piled on the pounds as well, now weighing four stone and being forced to trundle around on his toy truck instead of chasing the other children as he is too unfit to catch them.
His mum, clearly more sensible than his dad, has been trying to get him to quit – but with little success.
“He’s totally addicted. If he doesn’t get his cigarettes he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels sick and dizzy.”
But we’ll leave the last word to the dad who started it all. He said: “He looks pretty healthy to me. I don’t see the problem.”
