In possibly the worst attempt to trick women into removing their clothes since those Female Body Inspector T-shirts a few years back, workers at a jail in the US told female lawyers to remove their bras so that they wouldn’t set off metal detectors.
At least two attorneys say they were told they’d have to remove their bras when entering the Cumberland County Jail but both refused to comply. Sheriff Kevin Joyce said it was not standard practice and he would not let it happen again.
“I appreciate that he recognises that I shouldn’t have to take off my clothes to see my clients,” said attorney Amy Fairfield, somehow keeping a straight face.
