It’s been reported that the final edition of ‘The News Of The World’ had subtle digs in the crossword to the wicked witch of the East, Rebekah Brooks.
Some of the clues featured on the crossword were ‘mix in prison’, ‘woman stares widly at calamity’ and ‘will fear new security measure’, whoops!
It’s believed Brooks hired two executive journalists to toothcomb the paper to make sure there were no libels or any digs towards her in the light of awful situations leading to the closure of the publication. Guess those journalists either had bad eye sight, or wanted one last dig at the five letters, female dog.
