An American man is currently in hospital after his pet dog accidentally shot him in the bum.
The un-named 46 year old man was duck hunting with a friend at the Great Salt Lake near Brigham City in the state of Utah, stated a local sheriff. The dog reportedly tripped on the 12-gauge shotgun causing it to discharge a bullet straight into its owner’s derriere.
Sheriff Kevin Potter said, “The dog did something to make the gun discharge. I don’t know if the safety device was on. It’s not impossible the dog could have taken it off safety.”
The man had escaped any serious injury with doctors removing a staggering 27 birdshot pellets from his butt. Well they say a dog is a man’s best friend, but this pet must be one big pain in the arse.
