In a bid to live up to their names, the towns of Boring and Dull have come up with the wacky plan of being sister communities. Oh the hilarity.
Boring, in America, is a rural suburb of Portland while Dull is a bloody tiny village in Scotland, which has just 22 houses. “It might seem like a joke, but this could have real benefits for Dull,” community councillor Marjorie Keddie told Scotland’s Perthshire Advertiser newspaper.
“It will be interesting to see where this goes … Everyone has been smiling at the prospect of the very eye-catching road sign this will inevitably require.”
If the most exciting thing in your town is a road sign, why not just change the town’s name to ‘Scottish Shithole’ and be done with it.
