It seems all couples have their arguments. Even those who have been together for 115 years.
Yes that’s right, Bibi and Poldi, two giant tortoises who live at Klagenfurt Zoo in Austria have decided to call it a day on their century-long love story, following a blazing row.
Bibi the female began attacking Poldi, even biting a big chunk out of his shell. What a bitch. Zoo keepers are mystified by the sudden turn in behaviour and claim the pair can no longer stand the sight of each other. The two now have to be kept separate.
Both born in 1897, the two have been together since they were young and eventually became a couple. It is thought they had the world’s longest animal marriage before the major fall-out.
Attempts are being made to reunite the pair, so here’s hoping Bibi can forgive Poldi for whatever it was he did. We may be seeing them on the Jeremy Kyle Show sometime soon.
Bibi said: “He just never listened to me and always left the toilet seat up. I just couldn’t take it anymore.”
She didn’t really. She’s a tortoise.
