o2 Greenwich walkway Alistair Wood AEG Europe

In a year or two you will be able to see London without having to go on the London Eye. Planning permission has been granted to have a walkway across the top of the O2 in Greenwich.

It will be 60 meters high and 190 meters long, so not for the faint hearted. It will be suspended from the yellow masts that currently feature of the structure.

Alistair Wood, AEG Europe, who owns the East London eye-sore said, “Our brief to the architects was to create a walkway over the O2 which would complement the existing structure whilst enabling the public to experience the stunning views and panoramas from the top of the O2.” Lets hope it’s a little more well made than that ol’ wobbly Millenium Bridge. We know what you London landscapers are like! (shoddy workmanship)
