Straight from the red carpet…

Last night Leicester Square was awash with red carpet glamour for the 54th BFI London Film Festival. All the big names were out for the opening screening of British film Never Let Me Go. Female leads Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan oozed new guard cool, although Mulligan’s hair reminded us of being nine and experimenting with Claire’s Accessories clip assortments. One to watch, Andrew Garfield, is even more dashing in the flesh and spent a good 45 minutes chatting to fans and being generally lovely. The screening was followed by an after party at the Saatchi Gallery. Surrounded by modern installations and white roses we drank champagne and lychee cocktails, ate scallop ceviche and tuna tartare (but avoided beetroot macaroons, eew), and left with a MAC goody bag. Highlight of the night? Forget Knightley, we were totally star struck by Jim Broadbent, national treasure.
