It’s nice to see the Queen trying to be so down with the rest of Britain during this crappy recession. In a bid to try and gain some popularity amongst the public, she has decided to scrap the £50,000 Christmas party that she throws every year at Buckingham Palace. However admirable this little effort is, we still think she could maybe give up a few more bob to create some more jobs perhaps? A source commented on what usually goes down at the Christmas do, “The Royals mix freely with servants – it’s normal to see the Queen dancing with a footman or Prince Philip waltzing with a maid. The champagne flows like water and you feel your hard work has been appreciated. This won’t go down well.” Yeah but who get’s it on, on top of the photocopier? That’s what we want to know.
