A North Carolina man managed to sneak a 10inch pistol past police officers and into a prison by stuffing it up his rectum. That’s right – a gun, up his arse. An actual gun.
Michael Leon Ward was arrested earlier this month by a North Carolina police officer following multiple traffic violations, however he is wanted in Georgia for other charges including murder and armed robbery.
Yet despite a thorough strip search, in which Ward was required to ‘squat and cough’ to see if he was smuggling contraband, he managed to smuggle the .38 caliber, six-barrel revolver into his prison cell.
Jailhouse guards discovered the handgun in the toilet of Ward’s cell after other inmates reported him. (We can’t imagine the horrors of the night spent getting the gun in that loo..).
To add insult to injury, or maybe just injury to injury, Ward was then dragged off to the OMH to have his arse fully examined by infirmary staff. Rubber gloves at the ready!
