IT’S easy to judge someone’s who’s drunk – but is it easy to judge while drunk?
Well Judge Douglas Field tried to solve that conundrum this week by getting absolutely arseholed on his lunchbreak at court and then coming back to pass sentence on an alleged paedophile accused of raping an eight-year-old.
The mother of the child wasn’t exactly impressed, especially as he then let the accused off the charges.
Apparently the 63-year-old judge also “forgot” about two charges faced by the defendant and put his wig on crooked after getting hammered at a leaving do thrown during a trial in Swindon.
