YOU’VE got to admire the bravery of blind Brit Steve Thiele, who this week set a new world distance record for an hour’s blindfolded waterskiing off the coast of Anglesey.
Water-skiing blind is tough enough, but what really takes guts is doing it in Britain’s turd-strewn waters. Well done sir.
And despite being blind since an accident when he was eight, Steve insisted on sticking to the rules – and so used a blindfold.
Even braver, however, was the guide dog he had on a lead at the time. The dog’s body has yet to be recovered.
