Inca and Raya, a pair of Gentoo penguins, regularly accused of being gay have been wishing to start a family for the past 6 years.
The best friends (not gay, why would people jump to that conclusion?) have been building nests in preparation every year in the hopes of having a baby.
This year, the staff at Spain’s Faunia Park have given the pair an egg to raise as their own, worried that they will end up getting depressed if they don’t have a little one to care for.
Inca took the female role of incubating the egg, while Raya has been the man gathering and supplying food (that’s not sexist, that’s just how it is).
