A challenge has been set. Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is up against a new kind of opponent. This time his strength won’t be tested in the ring but by means of a straitjacket.
Contortionist and escapologist Chris Cross has called on Tyson to use all his might to tie him up into the smallest, tightest bundle possible so he can test his own skills against the power of a boxing legend.
Speaking about the challenge, Cross seems to have no fear, ‘‘ I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing what Tyson’s still got in him. I am confident I’ll get myself out of the straitjacket he’s going to tie me in. I can’t wait. I’m in top shape for the challenge and can only say I’m looking forward to overcoming Tyson’s strength. It should be great fun too – he seems like a fun guy who’s up for a laugh! It’ll be a great night!! ”
Before now, Chris Cross from Newcastle has been known to entertain royalty and celebrities as a close-up magician as well as a contortionist and escapologist.
The Gig will be at The Federation Brewery, Gateshead, UK on the 9th October 2012.
VIP Tickets for this one off event cost £100 which get you a chance to talk and have a photo with the performers. Entry only tickets are £30.
