Better out than in, that’s what we always say here at BBM. While sometimes you give a particularly decent burp at least 8/10 in your head, we reckon it probably won’t come close to this guy’s.
Tim Janus belched the world’s longest burp at the first annual Burping Championships in New York earlier this week. His 18.1-second long burp helped him beat four other competitors to the title.
Thirty five-year-old Janus drank gallons of Diet Coke before stepping up to the mic to perform for the waiting crowd. He claims his tactic was trying to condense as much air as possible in his stomach before bringing it all to the surface.
He said: “You just have to force every last bit of air up. It’s beautiful, really.”
We think it’s pretty beautiful too. His parents must be so proud.
