A homeless woman accused of trying to sell her three-day-old baby son to a fellow customer at a Taco Bell restaurant in Washington State appeared in court this week.
Mother of the Year, Heidi L Knowles, 36, offered to sell her son for a price between $500 and $5000 after a woman at the fast-food restaurant remarked that he was cute. “She basically handed the child to the customer, saying he’s three days old, this is his name, and would you like to buy him for $500,” saidSergeant Schanaker, of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Citing her lengthy criminal history, including domestic violence assault and drug possession charges, Clark County Superior Court Judge Robert Lewis set bail at $50,000, which was swiftly posted by a certain Mrs. Angelina Jolie Pitt.
