Entering with a repetitive piano riff, Scream will certainly pique most music boffs interest, as you can instantly tell it’s heading off somewhere, and soon enough dancey synths enter making it a dead cert to be a club banger. Her smooth vocals flit into the verses, but the cheekiness we first saw when Kelis burst onto the scene way back in 2000 with I hate you so much is back with a vengeance with her lazy mc-ing, giving her that crass edge that is just simply essence de Kelis.
