Spielberg’s Jaws has got competition from Australia’s very own, as a 26-year-old man has been attacked by a 3m tiger shark near Coral Bay, 1100km north of Perth!
David Pickering suffered cuts to his arm in the attack but the injuries are not life-threatening. Pickering stated that it felt like being hit by a car. Sounds like this guy doesn’t have too much luck!
Witnesses stated that Pickering, an underwater guide, was only snorkeling 100m from the shore guiding a group of couples when the incident happened. Maybe Pickering got jealous from the couples making out underwater and decided to find a shark to get down and dirty with?
“We haven’t had an attack here in 10 or 15 years and it just happened out of the blue. Everyone is very shocked.” Said Sunny Rayudu; a staff member at Fins Cafe in Coral Bay. Poor guy, maybe he should take a vacation away, a relaxing time by the sea should do it…
