One German Grandpa is in serious trouble with his kids after locking his granddaughter in the trunk of his car and forgetting about her.
Apparently the 9-year-old girl asked to ride in the trunk of the car on a trip down to Sorpe Lake in the Sauerland area of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. When they reached the lake Grandpa was enchanted by the beauty of the lake so he went for a walk, but forgot about the child in the boot of the car. As passersby heard the girl’s screams the alarm was raised with the local bobbies.
The local police spokesman told the wire service that the grandpa was “visibly affected” by the incident upon his return and given a warning by German police. He also promised to never let anyone ride in his trunk again.
Hmm, we don’t know, sounds a bit Fritzel to us.
