There’s always that moment when you’ve just been to the gym and pop into Coles, then as you pass the freezer aisle you think “I’ve just run 8k so I’m damn well gorging on ice-cream”.
Well in a cautionary tale of why junk food and exercise is never the best of mixes, a bloke in North Carolina keeled over and died after taking part in a Krispy Kreme challenge ¬- which involves running 2.5 miles to the shop, eating 12 doughnuts, then running back to the start line.
Jeff Woods, 58, is sadly believed to have suffered a heart attack while running to the shop.
BBM is no medical expert, but it seems to us the moral of the tale is, if you are going to eat unhealthily make
sure you don’t do any exercise either. The BBM doctor knows best.
