Beyonce Gets University Course, Not BiopicBeyonce is by far one of the best looking female celebrities in the last 10-15 years, but I think some University lecturers love her too much that they want to LEARN about her? I know right I thought hearing her sing and looking good was enough. The Rutgers university department of Women’s and Gender Studies are starting a course titled ‘Politicizing Beyonce’ which will allow students to look into the details of her persona, life, her alter ego Sasha Fierce and question where her sex appeal lies in western society.

The most ironic part of it all is that the lecturer leading the course is a man, clearly wants an excuse to get some dirty Beyonce pictures up in the classroom for all the lads to see. Kevin Allred, the leader of the course, said ‘This isn’t a course about Beyonce’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend. She certainly pushes boundaries. While other artists are simply releasing music, she’s creating a grand narrative around her life, her career, and her persona.’ The way he explains it makes it sound pretty interesting and a detailed look into her life, but I can tell what detail he’s looking into!

Other iconic female singers such as Lady Gaga and Billie Holiday will also be discussed in the lectures, but Beyonce’s feelings on the course are currently not known, but I’m sure she will be laughing at her husband; he also has a university course at Georgetown University named after him. Georgetown? Ha it’s all about Rutgers now Jay-Z.
