Alaskan mother Jessica Beagley, 36, allegedly wanted to get on to the Dr. Phil show so badly she filmed herself punishing her adopted 7-year-old son, Kristoff, for lying. She was falsely doing this to be featured in a show segment called ‘’Mommy Confessions”, a prosecutor has told a court.
In the 8 minute video, Beagley confronts the poor kid for misbehaving in school and lying, before pouring the sauce into his mouth as he cries. He is then forced to keep it in his mouth for a minute.
The news has sparked outrage in Kristoff’s home country of Russia, with Russians demanding that Kristoff and his twin brother, also adopted by Beagley and her husband, be returned.
Beagley apparently also tried to get on to the show’s ‘Angry Moms’ segment in 2009 but heard nothing back. The family’s lawyer William Ingaldson said the boy had actually been misbehaving and did get into trouble at school on the day of the video shoot. “She is not trying to get these kids to misbehave. She is trying to do the opposite,” he said.
It’s not the first time someone has put something in a mouth to get on TV, Paris Hilton is renowned for it.
