Being in the UK you are usually accustomed to watching the news and when an earth quake somewhere far far abroad is reported you usually do the text book ‘Oh those poor people’ then the back up thought of ‘Thank God we live in England where we don’t have those sorts of problems.’ Well this is fast becoming a thing of the past as Yorkshire has been hit twice in a matter of weeks with two quakes measuring up to 3.6 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the quake is believed to have been near Ripon, North Yorkshire, but the tremor was felt as far afield as Cumbria and West Yorkshire. We’re not quite sure what’s going on but all we can say is, ‘Thank God we live in London.’
