Shed WinningsIt would seem you can now get an award for just about anything! A ordinary man , Jon Earl, managed to win the title for “Shed of the Year.” It’s only a small shed as well but has seen more than 1,000 musicians play there as a music venue.

The 12ft by 10ft shed at the end of Earl’s Garden in North Somerset has even held a 26 person strong gospel choir. He films all the goings on there and then adds them to his very own “Songs from the Shed” website. He stated to a London newspaper “I inherited the shed and it’s contents from the previous owners of my house and had been using it for storage until the idea to turn it into a music venue came after a visit to the local pub.” Drunk ideas are good ideas then?

He plans to use the money winnings to make the shed a bit more reliant and getting rid of the woodworm problem.
