It was another exhilarating weekend of premier league football, as wins for Manchester City, Arsenal and Southampton dominated the weekend’s premier league highlights.
Manchester City demolished David Moyes’ United 4-1 in the Manchester Derby; Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero amongst the scorers. Moyes’ team were beaten in every department, even fashion judging by Rooney’s headband! Arsenal were also in action on Super Sunday, defeating Stoke City 3-1 at the Emirates thanks to three Mesut Ozil assists; all from Set pieces of all departments of goals!
Southampton shocked Liverpool at Anfield, as they came through to win 1-0 to claim Liverpool’s first defeat of the new season. There were also wins for Hull City at a shocked Newcastle, despite Loic Remy’s first goals for the club, Aston Villa against Norwich City, Chelsea against Fulham, Tottenham against Cardiff and Swansea defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park.
Everton also won at West Ham 3-2, thanks to Fantasy League hero Leighton Baines, and West Brom helped sack dictator Di Canio as it seems, as they cruised to a 3-0 win at the Hawthorns thanks to a debut goal from Stephane Sessegnon against his old club.
Well, that’s it for this week. Maybe next weekend, the ghost of Di Canio will be back to help scare the players to another 3-0 defeat. Here’s hoping that happens for you Liverpool fans!
