Pilot Gets Locked In The ToiletsIf there were a danger that your plane was going down, probably the best place to be would be locked in the toilet. Unfortunately for a pilot on a flight to New York, the reason his flight was at risk of going down was because he was locked in the toilet.

After popping to the bog for a quick crap as the plane was about to land, the pilot accidentally got locked in when the latch on the door jammed. Unaware of what was actually happening, the co-pilot reported the captain missing over the radio, sparking a full-blown terror alert.

Thankfully, the trapped pilot managed to get the attention of one of the passengers, explained the situation and gave him the password for the cockpit. Unfortunately, the passenger had a thick foreign accent, which only made the co-pilot even more concerned that some sort of terrorist attack was taking place.

During an audio recording, the co-pilot can be heard saying: “The captain has disappeared in the back and I have someone with a thick foreign accent trying to access the cockpit right now and I have got to deal with the situation. Someone with a thick foreign accent is giving me a password to access the cockpit, and I’m not about to let him in.”

It got so bad that fighter jets were nearly scrambled to shadow the commuter plane carrying 18 passengers from Asheville, North Carolina, in case of a security emergency. After the captain managed to free himself, the plane landed safely with the aircraft met by officials from the FBI and the Port Authority. It is not known if the pilot could have just ‘kept it in’.
