Officers were puzzled when they noticed a man’s trousers were dripping wet as he walked through an airport in Australia. Is this man up to something or is he just in need of a giant adult nappy?
Well he was most definitely up to no good as he was in fact trying to smuggle seven cichlid fish out of the country. The Vietnamese resident was planning to board a flight to New Zealand and claims that the fish belonged to a friend. However, this little fact didn’t change a thing and he will now be fined fifty grand for the placing the country at a biosecurity risk.
If you are planning to breach New Zealand’s Biosecurity Act, you’d think it was necessary to spend a little more time planning your genius attempt to smuggle fish out of the country and not just shove them in your pockets before you set off.
