The killjoys at Kellog’s have snap, crackle and popped into action to put a stop to Aussie tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis using the nickname “Special K”.Â
The 21-year-old fell foul of Kellogg’s team of grrr-eat lawyers when he started using the name on merchandising.Â
“Special K is obviously an iconic cereal brand for Kellogg’s in Australia,” a spokeswoman for the company said.Â
The cereal giants may have a point, but considering the nicknames Thanasi must have had at school with a surname that contains the word “Kok”, we think they should give him a break.
