Road Sign That Says ‘Look To The Left’ But Points To The Right Confuses Public
You better watch out when crossing the road in Swindon, as not everything points you in the right direction.
One miscalculated sign might say ‘Look Left’, when actually pointing you to the right.
The messed up sign is painted on the street at a busy Swindon town centre junction and has left onlookers confused since 2009. Miraculously no one has been injured so far and
Swindon council plans to have the wrongly pointing arrow removed in the near future, blaming contractors for the confusion and not doing a proper job.
This misleading road sign is not alone though, over the years there have been some funny sights of road signs, that truly let us wonder, who comes up with such ideas as putting up a
sign that reads ‘Caution Water On Road During Rain’, which was spotted in the U.S. and left drivers rather perplexed.
In the case of the misleading arrow, we can only hope that the painter does know his left from his right after all…however it was in Swindon, so it’s understandable.
