Manu-Tuilagi-David-Camero-008Everybody loves a good prank, and there can’t have been a better one at a more important time as England centre and trouble maker Manu Tuilagi made the Prime Minister look an idiot, if he wasn’t enough of one already.

It was very primary school but having the audacity to do it in a public PR stunt like that was nothing short of brilliant. So let me run you through it play by play. On the back of the Lions tour, their first series win against Australia since 1997, media and fans applauded as records were broken and boundaries of strength and endurance were pushed to the limit.

So on Monday the 16th when the Lions set foot on number 10’s doorstep to be congratulated on a wonderful victory by David Cameron, little did he know that he would next day be the laughing stock of the nation. Tuilagi spontaneously and stupidly decided that propping ‘bunny ears’ in a finger gesture behind Cameron would be a playful joke.

As usual when any celebrity makes a fool of himself, which is often the case, they have to publicly make amends for their mistake, as he did on twitter stating,

‘Apologies for messing around on Lions photo. No offence intended. Great day at Downing Street, thanks to the Prime Minister for hosting us.’

Whatever David Cameron thinks of this, Manu Tuilagi we salute you on a brilliant prank!
