Like seagulls swooping to steal chips from your hand at Manly wharf, it seems arsehole parking rangers are becoming ever bolder with their ridiculous ticket-slapping antics, following the news that one of them gave a bus a fine for waiting at a bus stop.
The bus had a scheduled ten-minute break at the spot in Edenbridge, Kent, and the driver nipped into a nearby bakery to pick up a snack as he waited.
But when he returned minutes later, he was outraged to find a warden issuing a £70 ticket. Now bus company Go Coach is battling with the council to waive the penalty, which has risen to £105 after they missed the deadline to pay it.
Matthew Arnold, director at Go Coach, was naturally a tad pissed off with the penalty charge notice. “The bus has a scheduled ten minute hesitation at this location – unfortunately there simply isn’t anywhere else to wait,” he said.
