BASKETBALL: America’s continuing quest to impose their made-up sports on the rest of the world continues with the news that reigning NBA champions the LA Lakers will play the Minnesota Timberwolves at London’s O2 Arena in a pre-season game on 4 October.
It’s the fourth year in a row that London has been subjected to Americanised cries of “he’s throwing bricks!”, “from way down town!” and “Hey! I ordered fries with that!”
NBA commissioner David Stern said: “This is a very important continuing step to bring our best-known team, the Lakers, to London.”
