The horsemeat scandal may have opened our eyes as to what we’re actually eating, but the trend of finding odd things in your food is certainly not over. As one young boy discovered, quite disturbingly.
While staying with his uncle in Devon, a four-year-old boy was settling down to an innocent breakfast of a bowl of cornflakes, when he looked down to find a condom bobbing about in his milk. Following lots of screaming by the poor little chap and the uncle’s fiancé, a complaint was made to Tesco, where the cornflakes were bought, and the supermarket proceeded to offer compensation – a £20 voucher and a bunch of flowers.
Tesco are stumped as to how the contraceptive got into the box. We just hope the milk wasn’t secretly involved in the scandal…
