HULL City’s campaign to throw money at problems continues with the news they will pay Leicester City compensation to take manager Nigel Pearson to the KC Stadium.
We’ll admit he did a decent job at Leicester over the last couple of season but come on, he’s hardly worth forking out for.
We reckon it’s got more to do with the fact that he shares a surname with Hull chairman Adam Pearson. Keeping it in the family eh Adam?
“We feel it’s a real coup for Hull City and that Nigel is the best man to mould the existing squad into a competitive Championship team,” said daddy Pearson.
“Nigel had two outstanding seasons at Leicester City and I feel sure this experience and winning formula will ensure the very best chance of bringing success back to the club.”
Bear in mind this is the same Adam Pearson who appointed Paul ‘worst Premier League side in history’ Jewell at Derby a couple of years ago.
Be afraid Hull fans.
