In a crime so crazy it makes perfect sense, a woman in Texas was found guilty for stealing heart, when she stole a $4 bottle of wine just so she could hook-up with her boyfriend in jail.
Inmate-loving Alicia Walicke stole the wine from a gas station and, in an unusual move, decided not to flee the scene. Instead, she drank the bottle outside the store’s front door.
Unsurprisingly, it proved to be an open and shut case for police and Walicke was all too happy to be taken into custody after explaining that her boyfriend was arrested earlier that evening and it was her fault, so she wanted to make things right and go to jail. Her wish was duly granted.
She spent the night in prison on charges of misdemeanour and theft. And they say romance is dead.
