It’s time for the squads to put down their tea, stop harassing the sheep, not to have another mouthful of haggis, say no to more frogs legs, down that last Guinness and finish off that bowl of spaghetti. The Six Nations kicks off in FOUR DAYS.
We’ll take a run through the squads and their chances for this year’s cup. France won’t take too long to review after their abysmal display last year seeing them finish bottom for the first time since Italy were included in 2000. With coach Philippe Saint-André battling to stay in the job, will the French be able to gain some pride this year? France captain Pascal Pape does believe that Les Bleus have developed over the year and looks to demonstrate that with in the opener against England.
Captain Pape said in an interview, “This season will be better, we have to rebuild that trust with our fans and we do that by winning at the Stade de France. Losing is not an option.”
Clearly Pape, you’ve forgotten the three losses in last year’s Six Nations. Losing was an option then.
England has the memory of losing the title in the final game last year and are channelling that pain towards knocking the Welsh of their thrown and will look to get off to a good start at the Stade de France.
But, Courtney Lawes seems to be relishing challenge when in Paris saying, “They’re going to want to dominate us physically and beat us.” Possibly Lawes is getting the idea that Paris is the city of love & passion and is expecting something kinky from the French players. Keep your head in the game and out of the gimp mask, Courtney.
