Breaking up with someone is bad enough, but how about when your final parting argument is made public for all of the Twittersphere to have a giggle at?
New York comedian Kyle Ayers was enjoying a lovely view of the city from his rooftop one evening, when his tranquil thoughts were interrupted by a torrent of abusive one-liners coming from a couple of raging lovers nearby.
With talk of mistrusted texts, babies, horrible housemates and even pizza, the comedian felt that a running commentary via Twitter to his 5,000 followers was needed after such heartfelt discussions.
With the boyfriend of the couple attempting to move the argument into a more private location, the soon-to-be ex-girlfriend of the argument – or Rachel, as is revealed later on – seems completely unbothered by the audience the two of them have attracted. Perhaps that was before she realised that her words were currently in the process of spreading virally around the internet, and that her and her boyfriend’s farewell discussion was actually being read by thousands of strangers before they’d even said their goodbyes…
So it seems the moral of the story here is: maybe next time, do your breaking up inside the house.
