Forget Jerry Springer or Jeremy Kyle if you’re eager to find out whether that child is yours – There’s an easier option in the form of the Who’s Your Daddy? van.
Fathers in New York are now able to get a paternity test as easily as a burger from a drive thru, via an RV truck which hands out tests on the go.
The van sells tests on-site for between $299 and $575. What a bargain. You just have a quick swab taken and then wait a couple of days for the results to come through.
Jared Rosenthal is the proud owner of the vehicle and spoke to CBS about the popularity of its service.
“They flag us down, they pull us over, they talk to us,” he said.
“Sometimes, because of the nature of the services, they want to be a little more discreet about it, but they do come or they’ll call the number.”
But whereas it might be that little bit easier than an appearance on trash TV, it’s nonetheless dramatic.
“We have people that want to get the specimen from their spouse without them knowing about it. We deal with a lot of drama. It’s constant drama,” he added.
Don’t worry though, it’s not all tears and tantrums. There are also cases of reuniting fathers with their long-lost children. Heart-warming.
