leedsunitedfcbadgeEach week, BBM takes a look at one of football’s not-for-profit organisations (i.e. any club outside the Premier League) and, as the title suggests, tells you what’s happening. This week it’s League One big boys LEEDS UNITED…

WHAT better time to bring you up to speed on the shenanigans at Elland Road than when the Yorkshire side are set to fuck up yet another League Two promotion push?
It all seemed so good at the turn of the year. They were miles ahead of everyone at the top of League Two, had just won four games in a row and then beat Man United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup. A glorious season seemed just ahead…
Well it’s all gone tits up since then. A blip of form, which has lasted roughly three months, has seen them overtaken at the top of the ladder by Norwich and last week’s 2-0 home defeat to nearest rivals Millwall has suddenly made them look very catchable. Especially as they were due to play runaway leaders Norwich away this weekend.
The Millwall defeat also saw an injury to key defender Patrick Kisnorbo, who will miss the World Cup for Australia.
In short, this season has got humiliating play-off defeat to Colchester written all over it.
