When girlfriends force blokes to go shopping with them, it can send them over the edge.
And that’s literally what happened to Chinese chap Tao Hsiao, who jumped from a seventh-floor balcony to his death because he was so sick of helping his girlfriend buy shoes.
Talk about putting your size nines it it. “He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more,” said an eyewitness.
“She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument.”
The 38-year-old reportedly then threw down the bags he was carrying and jumped over the seventh-floor barrier in the shopping mall in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, in east China. He died when he hit the ground in front of shocked shoppers.
Frankly BBM thinks the guy should be canonised by the Vatican. Lost travellers get to pray to Saint Christopher, people with sick animals pray to Saint Francis and prostitutes get to pray to Saint Katie Price, but what about those poor blokes who suffer in silence every day while their girlfriends force them to given an opinion on a pair of Jimmy Choos? Who do they pray to? All hail Saint Tao!
“This is a tragic incident, but this time of year can be very stressful for many people,” a shopping centre spokesperson said.
That’s right ladies. So next time you think about ordering your man to help you buy a dress for a wedding, or a handbag for your next holiday, ask yourself if it’s worth killing him for. Or at least just stick to shopping on the ground floor.
