It has been announced that Pope Benedict XVI will be launching his Twitter account on 12th December 2012, just in time to receive all your Christmas wishes to Santa…oh hang on that’s not what Christmas is about is it? Ah sod it, it is to us.
The Pope will be Tweeting in Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish. However we think, as God’s representative on Earth he should probably make an effort to learn Mandarin, Flemish and Swahili, as we don’t think God would want to have anyone left out on the Twitter circuit.
We’d imagine the Pope’s Tweets to be something like this:
Megalolz, just #pants the Bishop of Canterbury as he wants women Bishops. Silly sod.
OMG, #Obamas coming for tea today, and that silly moose of a maid hasn’t got the panatone in.
I got a new puppy today, and I called it Mohammad. Where’s the peanut butter.
Ok maybe we’re getting a bit carried away, but nonetheless you can catch the Pope on Twitter on @pontifex. So let’s wait and see what he tweets!
