A saucy study into the most common words used in erotic novels has found that “cock”, “pussy” and, worryingly, “mom” make up the top three.

After trawling through 300,000 erotic stories (we presume he didn’t read them all himself), psychologist Mark Allen Thornton found that the other most used erotic words were master, mouth, mother, wife, asshole and mistress.
He analysed work from about 65,000 authors who uploaded their stories to fiction site Literotica, and pointed out that around 65 per cent of the work was written by men.
Thornton also found that writers between the ages of 33 and 55 are most likely to pen a story about BDSM, and identified a trend that the older women get, the kinkier they become.
