Tokyo superheroIs it a bird? Is it a plane? No… it’s some dude in a green spandex suit! This guy in Tokyo is becoming a real-life superhero by flexing his muscles in subway stations. He helps passengers with heavy luggage and lends a hand to the elderly, as well as mothers with prams.

The 27 year-old man behind the mask, Tadahiro Kanemasu, admits that the costume helps him in his mission to help the community, as Japanese culture makes it difficult to accept help from strangers. The subways have no elevators or lifts, so it’s a tough job for a tough guy!

Clearly Power Rangers have a certain appeal to the hero, but he was actually inspired by children he met at the grocery store he worked in. He said: “When I first began, people basically said ‘Get away from me, you weirdo’… now they still think I’m weird but in a good way.”

N’aww!
