Stop Or It's Hammer Time

What’s the worst thing that can happen if you cross the road while the little man is still red? Think about it.
If you answered “get hit by a car”, then ha you’re wrong, as one poor pedestrian in China discovered when she was repeatedly hit on the head with an iron hammer by a screaming crossing guard who kept yelling “I won’t let you run the red light!”
The patrol officer, who has not been named, hit the pedestrian repeatedly with an iron hammer, after the woman ignored her command to not cross the road in eastern Shandong province.
Want to know the punchline? Apparently the pedantic guard waited until the light turned green, when the pedestrian was already halfway across the road, before launching her attack. At least she’s no hypocrite, we’ll give her that.
