Here at BBM, we’ve covered lots of animal based news stories, but in particular Parrots seem to pop up a lot. This is mainly because a parrot just repeats stuff and can end up in hilarious consequences with the law, or just with neighbours. But today, instead of disrupting the harmony of the law, one parrot is being a do-gooder and has entered the record books.
Zac from California is a slam-dunking parrot who set a world record of 22 dunks in 60 seconds. Not to take away his glory, but it was a small net and the balls were rubber, but apart from that it’s pretty impressive. I’m surprised he isn’t Kobe Bryant’s pet to be fair.
Zac is actually part of a flock of trained birds, and his owner Julie Cardoza briefly had this to say “Our show is family friendly so we have the opportunity to visit many ages and cultures. It’s great to share our special parrots.”
Apparently Zac can ride a bike, skateboard and has 100 words of vocabulary in his mind. Wow, he can do more than many people over 20 can do with just a beak.
