Perma-ponce Cristiano Ronaldo is still, literally, flying high following Portugal’s unlikely success at Euro 2016 – after having an airport named after him.
Apparently the airport at Madeira, where Ronaldo was born, has been renamed in his honour following his heroics in France.
With a statue, wax work, underwear range, fragrance, movie and museum already paying homage to the Real Madrid star, it’s about time the 31-year-old was given an ego boost.
We’re sure the humble Ballon D’or winner will keep his feet on the ground after this latest tribute.
The news was greeted with a simple “thanks” by Ronaldo, which he Tweeted from a private jet.
