“We are proud to offer a wide range of meals and products to meet the needs of our customers during Ramadan.” That’s nice so what is Tesco promoting for Ramadan?
Ah, Pringles! That’s not so bad, because “once you pop…” however, the store put up a Ramadan promotional stand and the genius in charge thought, “Yeah, everyone loves bacon!”
Whoever is in charge of Tesco’s product display needs to be fired right now!
It’s all well and good to celebrate the religious holiday of Ramadan, well done to Tesco for that but we’re stripping the British supermarket of brownie points for this faux-pas.
When you have to fast throughout every minute of daylight, you’re going to pig out as soon as night fall kicks in. Well, probably not the best phrase to use for Muslims, but clearly the major British supermarket didn’t get the memo about Muslims not being fans of the old pork.
