As a general rule of thumb, it’s not a good idea make an ass out of a military dictator. And it’s an even worse idea to make a military dictator out of an ass, as an Egyptian farmer found out last month after naming his donkey after army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and putting a khaki cap on his head while riding through a village.
After hearing about the incident, General Sisi showed just how great his sense of humour is by having the man arrested for “directly insulting” the army.
Sisi, who ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July, is vice prime minister and defence minister as well as army chief. His portrait is displayed in shop windows, in cars and on walls in the Arab world’s most populous country. He’s also a massive cock.
